SASA! Together Approach Launched to Combat Violence

The SASA! Together approach under the Pamodzi Kuthetsa Nkhanza Program (PKN) was officially launched at a spectacular event at Makande Ground, in T/A Nyanyala, Balaka. This transformative approach empowered communities to challenge harmful social and gender norms that perpetuated violence.

The launch brought together key partners, including community leaders, government officials, the police, the health department, T/A Nyanyala, Group Village Heads, and community members, all united in the fight to end violence.

SASA! Coordinator Grace Sichula emphasized the approach's core message, stating, "SASA! Together is not just a program - it is a movement for change. We are here to shift mindsets, challenge harmful norms, and build a community where power is shared, and respect is at the center of every relationship. Change begins with us, and together, we can end violence against women and girls."
