Recognizing the vital role of the police in addressing Violence Against Women and Girls, the Pamodzi Kuthetsa Nkhanza (PKN) consortium is working closely with the law enforcement agency to strengthen prevention and response strategies.

As part of this effort, the consortium has supported the recruitment of a Technical Advisor who will work with the Malawi Police Service to enhance the Victim Support system.
On Thursday, the consortium consisting of WOLREC, GENET, and WAG Disability Rights held a working session with the police in Lilongwe to discuss key interventions, including the role of the Technical Advisor in preventing Intimate Partner Violence.
This initiative is informed by the Gender Political Economy Analysis conducted under the PKN programme, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of the UK government.
