NGO GCN and PKN Consortium unite to strengthen domestic violence act

The Pamodzi Kuthetsa Nkhanza consortium, comprising WOLREC, Girls Empowerment Network (GENET), and Human Rights of Women and Girls with Disabilities (WAG), is supporting the NGO Gender Coordination Network in its advocacy role. A two-day meeting was held in Dedza to identify issues in the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act that require advancement for effective implementation.

WAG Executive Director Stella Nkhonya emphasized the importance of holistic collaboration in the fight against Violence Against Women and Girls. This meeting underscores the consortium's commitment to enhancing advocacy efforts and promoting a safer environment for women and girls.
