Community members under Traditional Authority Nkaya in Balaka have welcomed the Pamodzi Kuthetsa Nkhanza (PKN) program, with local leaders pledging their full support.

Hundreds gathered at Mponda Community Ground for the official launch of SASA! Together, a key approach used in the PKN program to prevent Intimate Partner Violence (IPV).
Gracing the event, T/A Nkaya commended the program, emphasizing its potential to promote love, peaceful marriages, and overall household development.
"As chiefs, we fully support this programme," he said. "We will work hand in hand with all partners to ensure tangible results. If you encounter any challenges in your work, report directly to me."
Utale One Police Officer-in-Charge Griffin Gondwe encouraged community members to become champions of change by, among others, reporting cases of violence against women and girls to the relevant authorities.
During the launch, spiced up with traditional dances, drama, a football tournament and poetry, Community Activists and Community Leaders in the SASA! Together approach were introduced to the broader community.
